Walking and Walk Leaders
During busy times
we endeavour to provide a Walk Leader,
at no extra charge, who will have ideas
for everyone; and with our
large, efficient drying room you don’t
even need to worry about the weather!

Keswick provides an ideal base for
those who wish to discover the delights
of the Lake
District: almost nowhere
in the National Park is more than an
hour’s drive away. The obvious
way to explore is on foot and there are
countless high– and low-level walks
to suit all ages and levels of fitness,
many from the house. Starting points
for routes up the highest mountains in
England are within easy reach.

|
| Between
Easter and the end of October you will
always be able to join a guided walk,
even if our leaders are not here, with
the Keswick Ramblers who charge just
a small fee. Walks start daily from
the Moot Hall, see www.keswickrambles.co.uk for more details. |
Bar and games room:
For evening entertainment we have a
residents bar (opened
on request during busy periods), and adults
and children can play table tennis in the games room at any time.
Not too keen on walking?
Keswick offers a wide selection of attractions in and around the
town centre from excellent shops, good eating-places with quality
pub and restaurant food on offer at reasonable prices to cater for
all your tastes. There is even a cinema showing some of the latest releases.
Keswick's attractions include the highly acclaimed Theatre
by the Lake, the famous Pencil
Museum, the Cars
of the Stars Museum, the Keswick
Climbing Wall and Keswick Leisure Pool. There are also
delightful parks and gardens, including Hope Park and its mini-golf course, which
is next to Lakeside House.
